Demonstrate Improved Typhoon C-UAS Performance
Rafael will keep visitors to its booth at NAVDEX in Abu Dhabi this week fascinated with footage of a recent series of live-fire tests for its Typhoon RCWS, demonstrating its C-UAS capabilities. The 6th-generation Naval Spike NOLS missile system will also be showcased.
The company has an installed base of over 750 medium-calibre stabilized naval RCWS – including with the US Navy – and is offering both Typhoon Mk30 and Typhoon 25mm-class solutions for airborne, marine and shore-based threats. Typhoon and mini-Typhoon have recently scored a number of successes, including installation on the Philippines’ Navy’s Shaldag Mk 5 vessels, as part of the Rafael combat suite. The system has recently shown improved C-UAS performance, incorporating AI-enabled automatic target correction and recognition that contribute to very high accuracy.
Naval Spike NLOS offers the potential to transform any OPV or patrol boat into a missile vessel with advanced capabilities against maritime and shore-based threats, engaging targets at ranges up to 32km with pinpoint accuracy. Combat-proven and in service with several navies, Naval Spike NLOS offers a range of warheads: the wider Spike family has been sold to 39 nations, including 19 NATO member states.
The C-GEM offboard RF active decoy system will be on display as well: protecting naval vessels through EM spectrum manipulation, C-GEM seduces and jams threats from multiple directions, independent of the target vessel’s manoeuvres.
