Focus on Air Defence Capabilities
Rafael Advanced Defense Systems participated in the 2022 Bahrain International Airshow, 9-11 November, marking the company’s first-ever participation in a global defence exposition in the Gulf nation. Since the signing of the Abraham Accords, Rafael has embraced formalisation of regional partnerships in the Gulf, and took an array of advanced, innovative systems for current defence challenges to the exhibition.
Yoav Har-Even, Rafael’s CEO and President, stated the participation is indicative of “[…] further building the bridges between Israel and Bahrain, as our company participates for the first time in an important global exhibition where Rafael’s most advanced air systems will be presented. The opening of the business channels with our regional partners will lead to growth and prosperity for both sides.”
The company showcased and discussed a broad range of systems in Bahrain, including the Spyder air defence system and a selection of missiles from the Spike family, currently in use with almost 40 nations worldwide. Other Rafael products sure to have caught visitor attention include the Litening targeting pod and the Spice air-to-surface weapons family.
