Precision Detection and Analysis Offers Significant Advantage
Completing a long-established portfolio of naval intelligence systems, Hamburg-based Plath recently launched its submarine C-ESM/COMINT (Communications-Electronic Support Measures/Communications Intelligence) system. The system was first shown in public during Euronaval in Paris in October.
Designed to provide essential multi-mission C-ESM capability and extensive omni-directional COMINT functionality, the system provides submarine command teams with valuable additional situational awareness. Tasking can be prepared sub-surface and executed automatically during limited time at periscope depth.
Plath’s receivers, in combination with a third party antenna, provide bearing and content data for signals of whatever strength, thereby offering a crucial range advantage for the submarine, maintaining tactical superiority.
