Mission-Oriented Platforms for Multiple Applications

Capitalising on its decades of experience in providing armoured vehicles for law enforcement and homeland security (HLS) applications, Plasan is highlighting its growing range of mission-oriented vehicles.

With a range that fulfills every need from the lightest covert armoured platforms up to the largest truck-based armoured Riot Control Vehicles (RCV), Plasan can answer the requirements of any local security services.

A new online catalogue lays out the full range of vehicles, available as turnkey products from Plasan or for local assembly, including the well-known industry standard SandCat – now in its fourth generation – and the larger StormRider model.

Also new, integrated on a 4.5t Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon chassis, is the HYRAX, which combines Plasan’s high standard of protection and finish with the proven reliability and durability of the G-Wagon to create a quality, cost-effective light patrol vehicle.

Another new member of Plasan’s armored vehicle family is the Mk-T, based on the durable Ford F550 chassis. The vehicle answers the need for a cost-effective platform with high capabilities, protecting up to 11 people at B6 or B7 protection level, including against 7.62mm armour-piercing rounds. The Mk-T does not compromise on space and is available in either a 3- or 5-door configuration for personnel transport or use as an ambulance or command centre. The Mk-T is ideal for urban and HLS missions.

Another new offering is the compact 4t IBEX, developed by Plasan Reem on an upgraded Toyota HILUX chassis. With seating for five and protection to STANAG II level, IBEX is a police vehicle for patrol duties, armed response and operations against well-armed criminals, such as drug gangs or terrorist groups.

Also from Plasan Reem is the armoured Mercedes-Benz SPRINTER. Completely covert from an external perspective, the armoured SPRINTER can be put to many uses as a transport, an ambulance, for surveillance or command operations, or other internal security missions.

In its new online catalogue, Plasan is also offering its close cooperation with BAT, a leader in crowd-control solutions, offering BAT’s RCU range of RCV with the advanced computer-controlled Jet Pulse system for safe crowd dispersal.
