PELI Making Medical Equipment Portable

Rugged, Relevant and Reliable Solutions – Available Now

One of the most encouraging aspects of human reaction to the unprecedented restrictions on movement and daily life imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic has been the manner in which companies, organisations and individuals have stepped up to the plate: US companies restructuring rapidly to be able to build parts for ventilators; over 400,000 people in the UK volunteering in a single day to assist the National Health Service in ancillary roles and supporting the most vulnerable members of society.

It is also a testament to the intelligence and innovative mode of thinking that characterises the most productive solutions in times of crisis that these same organisations leverage experience, capability and will to deliver effective solutions. PELI Products – a company that MON reports on reasonably frequently – is a case in point.

With over 40 years’ experience in the development, manufacture and supply of rugged, reliable containers and cases for the transport and handling of vulnerable or delicate equipment, PELI has quickly established a programme to exploit that experience in making available to the global community a series of cases ideally suited to transporting medical equipment. This comes at a time when the world’s attention is firmly fixed on production of vast numbers of complex, potentially delicate items such as medical ventilators: it is encouraging to see somebody is considering how to transport them to the point of need when the manufacturing challenges have been overcome.

Over 100 PELI cases are available, every one of which can be customised to the relevant equipment with tailored foam inserts and other proven carriage solutions. The ‘Made in Germany’ cachet bears witness to their reliability, as does their adherence to some of the most sever quality standards currently in force. Waterproof, dustproof, chemically resistant and able to bear the rigours of decontamination if necessary, PELI cases may just be the solution for a problem lurking just a few days around the corner!
