Two-Year Contract With Estimated Value $11.6 Million
Patria has been selected by the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) to supply on-aircraft logistics support for Norwegian NH90 helicopters, covering phase and calendar inspections and associated repairs and maintenance. The two-year agreement carries an additional two year option and an estimated value of up to NOK 100 million (US$11.6 million).
“This agreement is an important milestone for us in Norway to show Patria’s capability in supporting military programmes with cost-effective solutions in (the) long-term. Our solid experience with the helicopter type from Finland and Sweden as well as the high number of experienced employees specialised in NH90 gives us a very good base to handle this contract,” Dan Nordheim, Managing Director and Country Manager of Patria Helicopters in Norway, commented.
Patria Helicopters’ location in Bardufoss is close to the customer’s operations. The company already serves the Norwegian Air Force at Bardufoss by maintaining its training aircraft fleet. Patria also provides military and civil helicopter life-cycle support services in Sweden and Finland, is an OEM-certified service centre for Airbus, Bell and Leonardo helicopters and holds the NH90 Nordic Service Centre status from NHI. The company conducted the final assembly of 29 Finnish and Swedish NH90 helicopters under the Nordic Standard Helicopter Procurement Programme.
