PAS 2019: Aselsan to Focus on Advanced Products and Capabilities

From Advanced Avionics to Counter-UAS Systems

Aselsan will focus the attention of visitors to its booth at the Paris Air Show (PAS 2019) 17-23 June on the breadth of its advanced capabilities and solutions.

With indigenously-developed innovative smart cockpits and advanced avionic architecture designs, Aselsan has been the power behind visible; whether it is a platform modernisation programme, a national development programme or an international collaboration, the company’s expertise ranges from ATAK helicopter avionics and guidance kits to anti-drone systems and handheld radios.

Aselsan avionics systems have already become a source of confidence worldwide. Today, a partnership between Aselsan and Sikorsky confirms this confidence: Aselsan’s Integrated Modular Avionics System (IMAS) will manage the systems in the Turkish General Utility Helicopter programme, under which at least 250 BLACK HAWK helicopters are to be manufactured.

Aselsan continues to seek innovative solutions for providing better and smarter systems to platform manufacturers. The next-generation Modular Avionics Touchscreen Environment (MATE), currently being tested on the T-625 Multirole Helicopter, is another step towards future horizons. The smart cockpit solution, providing 3D sound, synthetic vision and automatic speech recognition, is under consideration for the next Turkish fighter aircraft programme.

Aselsan has been active in design, production, software and hardware integration, platform integration and after-sales activities for air platforms, manned and unmanned, for more than 40 years. The company’s avionic systems are currently being integrated on a wide variety of platforms, including T129 ATAK helicopters, F-16 fighters, S-70 BLACK HAWK helicopters, HÜRKUŞ trainers and ANKA unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The company produces specific solutions, such as the AVCI Helmet Integrated Cueing System developed for the T129 ATAK, and airborne electro-optical systems, IFF systems, electronic warfare and self-protection systems and airborne radar, all of which have been proven on a variety of platforms.
