Paradigm partner with Ovzon to release new, high-speed terminal for use on Ovzon networks

The HORNET-OVZON is a new, PIM-enabled terminal that is capable of throughputs of 300mbps and is ruggedized for military use

Paradigm, a leader in quick deploy satellite communication hardware, announced on March 18 that it has partnered with Ovzon to create a new terminal, the HORNET-OVZON.

The HORNET is designed to work with Ovzon SATCOM-as-a-Service networks, including their newest proprietary satellite, Ovzon 3. The HORNET-OVZON combines the Paradigm Interface Modules’ (PIM’s) intelligence with the unique performance and high speeds associated with Ovzon Satellite Networks.

From listening to our users, we know how important it is for terminals to be easy to use and compatible with the networks that they are already employing. By design, Paradigm terminals are network agnostic, modem agnostic, and frequency band agnostic,” said Ulf Sandberg, Managing Director at Paradigm. “The release of a HORNET variant on the fantastic Ovzon network proves our commitment to making the world’s most advanced satcom simple.”

The PIM provides a common terminal interface for fixed and quick-deploy terminals, operating on all major satellite networks and satellite terminals. Using its onboard intelligence and rugged touch-screen display, it allows the user to switch between pre-staged, user-defined software profiles to quickly switch between configurations – meaning that things like IP configurations can be accessed at will.

Our partnership with Paradigm will enable our customers to perform their critical missions and ensure that they can maximize their Ovzon SATCOM-as-a-Service solutions for guaranteed performance, mobility, and resiliency.” said Per Norén, President and CEO at Ovzon.
