At DSEI Saab will showcase its Barracuda Mobile Camouflage System.

At the upcoming 2017 edition of DSEI, Saab will showcase its Mobile Camouflage System (MCS), a Barracuda Vehicle Integrated Camouflage System, on vehicles from multiple different OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) companies.

 
“Visitors at this year’s DSEI will be able to see the system at various places around the exhibition area. The MCS system is a world-leading solution, used by many countries around the world. Thanks to its flexible design, it can be mounted on different vehicles and in different environments. For many of our customers out there, it is crucial that they can use the system in different ways,” says Anders Wiman, Head of Business Unit Barracuda within Saab’s business area Dynamics.
 
The MCS is intended primarily to protect vehicles, during movement and in combat, which are exposed to sensors and target acquisition systems. It provides advanced signature management properties such as the non-glossy and 3-dimentional surface structure that helps the vehicle blend in with the surroundings and obstructs visual detection, thermal infrared properties that obstruct thermal reconnaissance, and radar characteristics customised depending on operational environment as well as customer-defined threats.
