More Effective Resistance than Expected

Coupled with tactical errors and logistical errors, Russian forces faced a plethora of obstacles in achieving their Day One and Two objectives in their incursion into Ukraine’s sovereign territory, according to a wide variety of Ukrainian sources. Even allowing for natural bias, the preponderance of evidence seems to point to mounting confusion (not to mention anger) in the Kremlin as boots on the ground fail to stomp the opposition flat – and as international reaction (finally) starts to show some degree of coordination and moral courage. Even China is maintaining a relatively neutral stance and failing to support Putin’s illegal and impulsive action, as many feared it would.
