15 Year Framework Agreement Covers HE 448 and Other Munitions
The Norwegian armed forces have placed an order with Saab for deliveries of munitions for the Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle weapon system.
The 15-year framework agreement tha allows the Norwegian armed forces to place orders for Carl-Gustaf ammunition and weapons, including the new programmable HE 448 round, among other ammunition types. In January 2021, Norway became the 14th user of the latest Carl-Gustaf M4.
The HE 448 munition provides Carl-Gustaf operators with an ability to quickly configure a chambered round. The wide range of ammunition available for the Carl-Gustaf further strengthens the system’s tactical flexibility, enabling faster engagement, increased hit probability and greater effectiveness for soldiers.
