Traditional Protection at 30% Lower Weight
Peli Products has introduced 31 new case sizes to the innovative Peli-Hardigg ‘Light Lift’ line of protective cases, the company announced on 15 June.
These additions bring the total number of rotationally-moulded high performance cases in the range to 60 sizes, with even further options to be added in coming months. Featuring a weight saving of up to 30% by comparison with traditionally rotationally-moulded cases, thanks to the advanced construction materials, the range offers considerable logistics savings in the form of lower requirements in manpower and resources.
The Light Lift case family is geared towards two- or four-man carry applications, with a maximum gross weight (case and contents) of 136kg. The cases offer the same levels of protection, and pass the same rigorous MIL-SPEC testing, as the traditional cases that have made Peli-Hardigg’s reputation. Initially available in seven of the most popular colours, the range of rotationally-moulded cases features ‘catch and strike’ hardware to tightly secure the lid, and recessed handles to prevent sheering or snagging on external obstacles. Options include plastic or metal handles, airtight construction, edge castors, locking hardware and humidity indicators.
“As with all great products, Peli-Hardigg cases are continually evolving to meet the needs of our customers in a meaningful way,” commented Piero Marigo, Managing Director EMEA. “The Peli-Hardigg Light Lift Series is a revolutionary step forward in materials, science and design that will ease the ever-present logistics burden by being easier to carry and less expensive to ship.”
