NAVAL MUSEUM GDYNIA – A Success Story

The Naval Museum in Gdynia, Poland has found its place in Gdynia’s landscape within just a few months

Today it is hard to imagine Kościuszko Square without the WW II destroyer ORP BŁYSKAWICA or the Seaside Boulevard (Bulwar Nadmorski) without the Museum’s outdoor naval weaponry exhibition.

The Naval Museum is a permanent institution in the service of the community and of its development. It is open to the public. The Museum acquires, conserves, researches and exhibits, the physical evidence of the history of the Polish Navy, for the purposes of study, education and enjoyment. One of the Museum’s main aims is to make the history of the Polish Navy more accessible to all.

The large number of visitors to the Museum has proved its popularity and the keen interest of the public in the Polish Navy history. The growing reputation of the Museum also means that more and more priceless exhibits come to this institution, thus enriching our naval collection.

An elegant modern auditorium with fixed, tiered seating for 121 delegates is another attraction. It is fully equipped with a screen, lectern and an audio-visual control room fitted out with projection, sound and lighting equipment. The auditorium is a perfect venue for conferences, book promotions, lectures, presentations, product launches, screenings and AGMs. Just outside the auditorium there is an area available for coffee breaks.
