Frederico Lemos Returns to Embraer in New Role
Embraer Defense & Security continues to strengthen its leadership team in appointing Frederico Lemos to the position of Chief Commercial Officer for its international business, the company announced on 29 May.
Lemos will take office on June 1 and will be based in Lisbon, Portugal. President and CEO, Bosco da Costa Junior, retains commercial leadership for Brazil and Latin America. “Frederico has greatly contributed to the success of Embraer Defense & Security. During his eight years as Sales Vice-President in Europe and the Middle East, he was responsible for key campaigns in our business, such as the KC-390 in Portugal,” explained da Costa.
A former Portuguese Air Force officer, Lemos joined OGMA in 2011 and, soon thereafter, Embraer Defense, where he fulfilled in various business development and sales roles in Portugal and the UAE. Since 2020, he has been the CEO of EID SA, a defence communications manufacturer based in Portugal. As well as graduating from the Portuguese Air Force Academy and IST, Lemos holds an MBA from INSEAD and post-graduate degrees in Leadership and Innovation, Economics & Management from Catolica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, and ISEG Lisbon School of Economics & Management.
