Elbit Systems Wins $40 Million Contract
Elbit Systems announced on 10 May it has been awarded a contract valued at approximately US$40 million from the Brazilian Marine Corps for the supply of advanced C4ISR, EW, radio and communication systems, including a variety of battle management systems. The contract will be executed over a two-year period.
The component systems, which will be deployed in fixed and deployed command centres, in vehicle sets and in dismounted applications, include artillery and soldier C4I systems as well as advanced EW capabilities. The net result will be to align the Marine Corps with the most current network centric warfare concepts and to significantly enhance its operational effectiveness.
