Follow-on Orders for Asian Police Force and New Contract for Head of State Protection

Netline has recently won a series of contracts in the Asia-Pacific region that strengthen its position in the region, the Tel Aviv-based company announced on 11 November.

Valued at $8 million (€7.3 million), the new contracts include follow-on orders for Netline’s counter-IED (C-IED) system, dubbed C-GUARD Reactive Jamming (RJ), in both portable and vehicle-mounted configurations, for an Asian police force, plus a new contract for the protection of a Head of State convoy. This unique solution both detects the threat and provides an immediate response, preventing remote detonation of radio-controlled IEDs by transmitting jamming signals around the entire convoy. The system will be delivered by the end of the year.

IEDs are normally activated by radio-controlled devices (cell phones, walkie-talkie, etc.), and have become a common threat in asymmetric warfare, as they are easy to make. Delivering benefits that include superior reactive jamming capabilities, wide coverage, simple operation by ground forces within a specific radius, and compliance with a wide range of Mil-STDs and radiation safety regulations, Netline’s C-GUARD family of reactive jamming systems provides a real-time C-IED solution.
