Navantia UK will explain its roadmap to strengthen British defense capabilities following the acquisition of Harland & Wolff
Navantia will participate in DSEI, the defense fair held in the United Kingdom, from September 9 to 12, where the group’s British subsidiary, Navantia UK, will have a prominent presence.
Following the acquisition of Harland & Wolff last January, Navantia UK will present its roadmap at this international event to strengthen the UK’s industrial capabilities to meet defense challenges.
At DSEI, Navantia will showcase its innovation strategy and technologies that enable it to offer its clients advanced products and services to address current naval defense requirements, promoting more flexible and automated fleets, with reduced crews, integration of unmanned vehicles, and data-driven decision-making thanks to sensorization and digital twin technology.
The company’s multinational industrial and design capabilities allow Navantia to offer these innovative solutions to its clients.
As a key defense partner of the British Government, Navantia UK will build three new Fleet Solid Support (FSS) ships to support the Royal Navy.
„Our presence at DSEI will highlight Navantia UK’s unique contribution to the UK’s defense and shipbuilding ecosystem,“ said Donato Martínez, CEO of Navantia UK.
„From design to delivery, we are developing capabilities and increasing capacity to support the government’s defense ambitions, ensuring that increased defense spending generates real value through British companies and creates a significant defense dividend.“
The company’s strategy encompasses the use of the latest technologies in digital shipbuilding tools, the modernization of its facilities, employee training, and a culture of continuous innovation. Navantia UK will bring the experience of its parent company, Navantia, along with its portfolio and technological capabilities, to offer maximum value to its clients.
At DSEI, Navantia UK will present its strategy to offer innovative and revolutionary technologies that support the UK’s defense and industry. Navantia UK’s shipyards will leverage Navantia’s investment in digital design and shipbuilding management tools.
Navantia UK benefits from the experience and international track record of its parent group, Navantia SA, which has delivered more than 40 ships to 8 nations over the past 20 years. The company’s designs are among the most advanced in NATO. Navantia supports the navies of several countries, including Spain, Australia, and the United States.
