EID, the Portuguese subsidiary of Cohort plc, enjoyed the attention of numerous delegations visiting its booth at LAAD 2017 in Rio de Janeiro last week.

A major focus of visitor attention was the company’s IP Integrated Communications Control System (ICCS), which offers efficient command, control and management of communications systems for virtually any type of naval vessel. Over 140 vessels in 11 navies have already been equipped with ICCS, a proof of adaptability which seemed to resonate with visiting delegations, according to company officials.

Also on display during the exhibition were intercom systems for military vehicles, demonstrating the new commander terminal, which features an easy-to-use touch screen-based graphical user interface; the TWH 100 series of personal radios, including the 400mW output power version with built-in GPS; and STANAG 4406 compliant military messaging systems as well as turnkey ground-based communications systems.
