Mk 54 Torpedoes for Brazil

Upgrade Kits for Mk 46 Conversion Requested

The US government has authorized the sale of Mk 54 torpedoes to the Brazilian Navy.

The Brazilian government has requested the procurement of 22 Mk 54 conversion kits to upgrade its existing Mk 46 inventory items. The proposed transaction also includes recoverable exercise torpedoes; containers and associated equipment, fuel tanks and helicopter launch accessories, spare parts, thrusters, suspension mounting units, thermal batteries, support and wheel kits.
