At the German Army’s 21st Day of the Infantry at the School of Infantry in Hammelburg, Thales presents its MINIE-D/IR image intensified (I2) night vision goggle (NVG) allowing to fuse thermal and intensified images, offering the soldier a display of an image in three possible modes: Full infrared (IR), Threshold or Contours (fused) with distinct colours for IR and I2.
At 500g and magnification of 1x amd a field (FoV) of I2 view of 51° the focus range is 20cm to infinity. The manually adjustable IR FoV is 36°(diagonal) with a MicrobolometeIR sensor with a resolution of 336×256 pixelsbat a spectral band of 7.5 -13.5µm. The Output Standard SVGA is 800×600 @ 60Hz (colour) in a data FoV of 42.5°(diagonal).
The MINIE-D/IR has been selected by the German Army for its IdZ-ES soldier modernisation programme phase 2.
