Devid Liik Joins Three-Man Board
Devid Liik has joined the three-man management board of Milrem Robotics as the newly-appointed Chief Technology Officer, the company announced on 9 January.
Liik joins from an engineering leadership position and co-founder of Twilio Estonia, where he grew engineering teams and scaled the core backend systems for the leading messaging product line. Prior to Twilio, he held senior positions at Skype.
“Devid has extensive experience in strategic technology and engineering leadership from international scaleup companies. This will substantially help Milrem Robotics realise its strategy to invest heavily in the company’s growth and keep its market leader role in robotics when large-scale procurements hit the market,” said Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics.
“I have always been drawn to innovative and meaningful things towards which smart people gravitate to. To me, Milrem Robotics is a living testimony of the great impact that bold people with passion and dedication can achieve. This is why I find it truly humbling to become part of Milrem’s journey,” said Liik, adding that his goal in that journey will be to help the engineering teams grow and meet rapidly increasing customer demand.
