MILIPOL 2019: Filling a Very Specific Need

Squad Power Manager Enables Unimpeded Operational Use of Mission-Essential Electronic Equipment

Revision Military‘s Squad Power Manager SPM-622 promoted in Villepinte offers a highly flexible power solution for Special Operations Forces (SOF). Designed to address their demanding requirements, this field-proven, plug-and-play Special Forces Kit, regardless of the environment or infrastructure, can scavenge power from any available source and automatically convert that power to reliably charge and run vital electronic devices. It combines a squad power manager with the cables and accessoires for power sources and electronic equipment commonly available to US and allied SOF teams, according to a source at the exhibition stand of Revision’s partner PROCOMM-MMC. The device, which is fully ruggedised for military use under severe environmental conditions, integrates with more than 200 types of electronic equipment. It can easily be upgraded with additional cables for supporting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and robotic ground vehicles, as well as EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) equipment and sensing, imaging and targeting systems. Protonex Technology Corporation, which was aquired by Revision in October 2018, won a US$1.6 million purchase order from the US Army earlier that year for the supply of the SPM-622 kit to SOF and Security Forces and Assistance Brigade (SFABs), the latter established by the US Army to support partner or coalition forces in combat theatres.
