New Full-Duplex Comms System is the Right Answer for Police and Military Special Forces
German communications specialist CeoTronics AG approaches MILIPOL this year with CT-DECT Multi, a mobile, digital, full-duplex communications system that offers users a maximum of flexibility, with performance characteristics equal to MIL-STD-810G. Full-duplex communication means that all users will be able to speak and hear at any time, with all communication participants connected to each other. The great advantage is that information can be transmitted into the radio circuit at any time.
According to CeoTronics, the new device allows up to five users to communicate safely and over larger distances (via Bluetooth) without any infrastructure and without the need to press a PTT button. CT-DECT Multi contains new technology as found in CT-ComLink that allows connected headsets or radios to be detected and the appropriate audio configuration to be set for “perfect voice transmission,” according to CeoTronics. The device’s integrated display allows for ultra-high-contrast imagery with optimum reliability, even in the case of strong, direct sunlight. Both its housing and display offer a completely new and intuitive operation concept. CeoTronics explained that each button can be operated reliably when wearing gloves.
CT-DECT comes with a waterproof and dust-tight design, with classification in accordance to IP66 and IP67. In addition to this, the device is described to be resistent against lubricating oils and chemical substances.
