Aimed at First Responders, HLS C2 Teams and Special Forces
Commtact Ltd will unveil CommNet – a new, real-time communications network aimed at first responders, event security, C2 teams and special forces – at Milipol this month, the company announced on 11 October.
First responders have a growing need for independent, reliable, real-time mobile communications networks that facilitate data-sharing alongside constant situational awareness (SA). Based on operational experience, CommNet provides precisely this: it enhances real-time SA in diverse missions, supporting ongoing real-time communications between multiple users operating diverse platforms. Even with a large number of users, the system provides a consistently high quality of service. Incorporating high-performance software-defined radios (SDRs) within ruggedized, body-worn components, CommNet provides reliable, low-latency video, voice and data connectivity. An agile, flexible solution, it easily adjusts to a variety of customer needs.
Leveraging proprietary wireless technologies, the system supports point-to-point (PTP), point-to-multi point (PTMP) and MESH topologies, as well as a wide range of radio frequencies and channel widths, while delivering high throughput over a secure private network.
“Emergency, medical, and command and control center teams need continuous, and reliable communication, at any given moment, and in all terrain conditions […] Commtact’s technology development, which is based on the company’s proven attempts which are in use all over the world […] provides a solution to this need,” stated Ariel Kandel, Commtact’s CEO.
