FAdeA Failed to Exhibit Flying Example at Show
During FIDAE 2018 last week, Argentina and Mexico signed a letter of intent covering possible joint production of the IA-63 PAMPA III light aircraft, Juan Carlos Cicalesi reports from Santiago for MONCh. Signed by the Argentine Aircraft Factory (FAdeA) and Mexico’s National Defence Secretariat (SEDENA), the agreement paves the way for Mexican authorities to visit the FAdeA facilities in Córdoba in the near future to view the PAMPA III production line at first hand. It is further expected that the two nation’s defence ministers will meet.
Observers at FIDAE were quick to point out the fact that FAdeA came to the show with only a scale model of the aircraft – no flying example.
