The choice of Brazil reinforces the group’s presence in the world’s seventh-largest economic power
November 28 is a day to be remembered by MBDA. The group officially opens its subsidiary in Brazil: MBDA Brazil.
MBDA, the European leader in complex weapon systems, has a portfolio of sovereign defense solutions in constant evolution, offering a full range of decisive capabilities to ensure the superiority of armed forces, whether in the air, on land, or at sea. In Brazil and Latin America, the group has been present in the Armed Forces for over five decades.
The opening of MBDA Brazil reaffirms its commitment to the defense sector. Based in Rio de Janeiro, MBDA Brazil aims to strengthen the partnerships developed over the past 20 years with national industries, creating Brazilian products to replace its European ones.
“We not only want to strengthen the partnerships we’ve already established but also foster new technological cooperations with Brazilian industries. Our challenge is to create a core of engineers in Brazil, working in collaboration with their counterparts in Europe, to bring technology and enhance national sovereignty. With this, we can improve our work, offering tailored solutions to meet all the Armed Forces’ needs. Brazil is the world’s seventh-largest economic power, and being in the country is of utmost importance for MBDA,” emphasized Patrick de La Revelière, Vice-President of MBDA in Latin America and Canada and President of MBDA Brazil.
