For Brazil, company expands horizons along industries cooperations

The MBDA´s participation in Eurosatory reinforced the European group’s commitment and efficiency in providing sovereign defense solutions to all Armed Forces. This exhibition, a global event for Defense and Security, was held in Paris, France, from 17 to 21 June.

Present in several Brazilian programmes, during the fair MBDA had strategic and successful meetings with Brazilian Armed Forces ´representatives, where it had the opportunity to show the full range of air defense multi-layer capabilities — including Mistral 3, CAMM, CAMM ER and Aster —, as well as the industrial cooperation projects developed with partners in the country.

The company also welcomed delegations from around the world, who learnt about the technological capabilities of the Enforcer missile.  Enforcer equips Brazil´s first armed drone, Nauru 1000C, produced by XMobots, considered as the leading Brazilian drone manufacturing company in Brazil and even in South America. With the Enforcer, the Nauru 1000C increases the ability to engage a wide range of targets from safe distances, rather than relying on free-fall weapons. Partnerships like this demonstrate MBDA’s vision of cooperation as vital to its success.

In Brazil, MBDA aims to establish new industrial partnerships to develop products that meet the needs of the Brazilian Armed Forces. MBDA Brasil Ltda is the group’s first regional office in South America in order to promptly serve not only the country, but also other LATAM nations. MBDA Brasil Ltda is based in Rio de Janeiro -RJ.

In addition, as a new member of ABIMDE (Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries), the group had a fruitful exchange with the Brazilian defense companies exhibiting at the Brazil Pavilion during Eurosatory.

MBDA’s presence in Brazil is already consolidated and constantly growing: in the country for more than 40 years with the Exocet, Aspide and Mistral missiles and, more recently, with revolutionary new products such as the CAMM for the Tamandaré-class frigates.
