Marshall Slingsby and IrvinGQ Celebrate a Decade in Naval Decoys

Manufacturing Expertise and Operational Efficiency

Marshall Slingsby Advanced Composites (MSAC) and IrvinGQ are celebrating a decade of collaborative work on naval decoy systems – critical self-protection assets against anti-ship missiles for surface vessels.

Multiple attacks, particularly potential swarming attacks from missiles or drones, can require a targeted vessel to deploy comprehensive effective protection instantly – even in cases when all power has been lost on board. One solution if a floating decoy system – am crucial distraction and confusion solution forming a base layer of a multi-layered defence.

MSAC’s significant experience in complex composite materials processing techniques has enabled the company to manufacture launch tube structures that deploy the IrvinGQ decoy equipment. The two companies have successfully delivered – and maintained – decoy systems for the British, US and other international navies over the last ten years.
