Lockheed Martin has signed up as a Gold Sponsor for the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC) 2019, which will take place in Bahrain 28-30 October, organisers Clarion Events announced on 14 April.
Held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, one of the driving forces behind the event has been HH Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahrain Royal Guard and Chairman of BIDEC 2019. Fully supported by the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), BIDEC 2019 will enjoy continued government from specially selected committees within the BDF, Naval Force, Air Force, Royal Guard, National Guard and other government agencies.

BIDEC 2019 will once again be organised by Clarion Events and Faalyat, a Bahrain-based events agency. BIDEC 2019 offers exhibiting companies the opportunity to demonstrate hardware and equipment, and to be seen on a high-profile international stage. The high-level conference at BIDEC has proven to be a powerful platform to hear key decision-makers from the government, military and defence sectors, offering delegates the opportunity to discuss innovations, solutions and areas of collaboration. Over 200 companies are expected to exhibit at the 2019 show and over 10,000 guests are expected over the course of the three-day event. Off-site activities are planned across Bahrain, including shooting displays, vehicle and warship displays and parachute demonstrations.
