The order is worth €125 million
Leonardo DRS, has received a €125 million ($134) order to continue producing its next-generation thermal weapon sights for the US Army. These are designed to provide warfighters with infrared imagery during target acquisition and engagement operations.
The company said the Family of Weapon Sights – Individual, wirelessly transmit to helmet-mounted vision systems, such as the enhanced night vision goggle binoculars (ENVG-B) and the next-gen integrated visual augmentation system (IVAS), providing soldiers with rapid target acquisition capabilities, including in smoke or fog.
