Demonstrating flexibility and multiple applications
Danish company Weibel Scientific – a leading global manufacturer of Doppler radar – will focus its efforts at LAAD 2017 in Rio de Janeiro this week on demonstrating the flexibility and multiple applications for its technology.
With a technological heritage dating back over four decades and customers operating their systems in over 40 countries, the company claims the unique capability of being able to detect both moving and stationary targets with its Doppler systems, courtesy of innovative design and powerful algorithms for processing reflected signal data. Citing “unparalleled levels of data quality, accuracy and resolution,” Weibel emphasizes the attention to detail required to derive actionable intelligence from analysis of minute changes in aspect from the illuminated target.
The applications for Weibel’s extensive capabilities are endless and its technology should attract a wide range of defence and security professionals at LAAD. Airspace control, artillery fire direction, intelligence operations, UAV operations, ballistic testing, satellite launch safety, counter-battery, border surveillance, force protection, critical infrastructure protection – the potential roles to be played by Weibel’s radar should keep the company busy for the next four decades.
