Sustainment and Contractor Logistics Estimated at $400 Million
The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has informed Congress of a potential sale worth an estimated $400 million to Kuwait for the sale of support equipment and services for its fleet of AH-64D APACHE attack helicopters.
The request from the government of Kuwait covers APACHE maintainer unit support, depot level support, training devices, helmets, simulators, generators, transportation, wheeled vehicles, and other related elements of logistics support.
Main US companies likely to benefit from the sale, to which there are no objections from the State Department, include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, DynCorp International, and Longbow Limited, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.
