Defenture VECTOR super-light tactical vehicle
At this years KSK Symposium, Defenture presented its GRF 5.12 Air Transportable Tactical Vehicle (ATTV), which the Dutch MoD calls the Defenture VECTOR.
The ATTV is a new super-light tactical vehicle for use in military and Special Forces operations. This lightweight tactical vehicle is based on a centre tubular chassis platform, which allows for quick reconfiguration of the vehicle to meet various mission needs. It offers rugged reliability and superior agility and can be air transportable internally by medium helicopters such as CH-53 Sea STALLION and CH-47 CHINOOK.
The length of the ATTV is 4.95m, whilst the height is 1.84 metres. It also has a wheelbase of 3.1m, whilst the overall width of the vehicle without mirrors is 1.8 metres. The kerb weight and maximum payload weights are 2,250kg each, while the gross vehicle weight (GVW) is approximately 4,500 kilogrammes. It can be uparmoured in the field in less than one hour, while blast protection uparmouring would take another hour. The vehicle is being powered by a Steyr 3.2l Turbo Diesel generator and has a ring mount for all .50cal + 40mm guns, e.g. a Dillon Aero or Gatling gun.
The Dutch Special Forces opted for 50 vehicles, and one vehicle was being tested by a specialised unit in Africa last year.
At the KSK Symposium, Defenture with partner BSS Holland showcased the vehicle integrated with a Zipper Mast 40cm mast (extendable to 6m), Rheinmetall ROSY smoke/obscurant protection system and more.
