Keeping Watch All the Time

New Tactical Watches from traser

Manufactured under the ‘Swiss Made’ seal of quality in Niederwangen, near Bern, the range of tactical watches from traser has a unique feature: the time display can be read in the dark and under low visibility conditions, thanks to custom-developed trigalight self-luminous capillaries. These require no external energy source and will shine for years, day and night, with unchanged luminescence.

Tactical watches must be not only easy to read, but must also function reliably in desert heat and icy cold, in rough winds and snow-covered peaks. The user must be able to rely on his or her watch in every situation, facing the toughest challenges. The traser P68 Pathfinder watch family has been expanded with two new variants.

The P68 Pathfinder is a self-winding timepiece characterised by uncompromising functionality and robustness. The hands and hour indices of all traser watches glow constantly, guaranteeing perfect, constant readability even in poor visibility. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensures unconditional resilience, even in extreme situations, while the characteristic compass ring, adjusted via a screw-in crown, reliably shows the way.

In addition its self-illuminating characteristics, the P68 Pathfinder Automatic also features Super-LumiNova marking on the dial and a luminescent glass seal. The diameter is 46mm, available in new colours beige and green (blue and black have been around for a while), as well as with textile and rubber straps. The watch is also submersible to 10 bar.

Diving places high demands on man and material: strong currents and changing temperatures are a challenge, but not an obstacle. These watches also guarantee maximum reliability in all waters and situations – the P67 Diver Automatic, of course, also features trigalight self-luminous technology and in this case its pressure resistance is up to 50 bar. The helium valve allows helium molecules to escape in a controlled manner when surfacing in a diving bell. Screw-down crowns, a resistant ceramic bezel with a luminescent glass sealing ring and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal protect the precise Swiss automatic movement. Thanks to ergonomic profiling, the ceramic bezel, which is unidirectional for safety reasons, can be adjusted precisely even when wearing diving gloves.

The diver’s watch also has a diameter of 46mm and is available with dial variants in black, green and grey, combined either with a stainless steel bracelet or rubber straps in various colours. In addition, the trigalight technology is optionally available in T25 and T100 versions – i.e. with significantly more tritium and therefore brighter. T100 models cannot be sold in all countries due to national regulations. T100 watches have a maximum of 3.7 GBq, T25 watches a maximum of 1 GBq. The company has announced that more tactical watches will be added to the range in the future.

The P69 Black Stealth is very much aimed at the tactical market, and was launched in early 2021. (traser)
