Two Aircraft and Systems at $128 Million
The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency has notified Congress of State Department approval for a possible sale of ISR aircraft and systems to Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh government has requested two KING AIR B300ER SCORPION aircraft configured with Raytheon’s AST TITAN communications intelligence sensor suites, Leonardo OSPREY 30 AESA radars, WESCAM MX-15HDi turreted EO/IR sensors and Sierra Nevada electronic intelligence systems, plus training, engineering support and aircraft integration services. Estimated total cost is stated as $128.1 million (€105 million).
The principal contractor will be Sierra Nevada Corporation, Hagerstown, MD.
