Kärcher Solutions Provide CBRN Protection

Mobile Catering, Water Supply and Field Camp Systems as well

At IDEX 2017 in Abu Dhabi in February, Kärcher Futuretech demonstrated its versatility and a wide range of logistical support systems available for immediate deployment.

In Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) protection, the Kärcher MPDS 2 is an independent, universally applicable system for complete decontamination of vehicles, material, and personnel. Equipped with three lances, the MPDS 2 can carry out the three required phases of decontamination – pre-, main-, and post-treatment – in parallel. In comparison with normal system modules, which have two lances at most, this means a significant saving in time and logistics effort. Thanks to an integrated power generator, a pump for discharge of non-aqueous decontamination agents, and comprehensive set of decontamination and cleaning agents, the MPDS 2 is ready for immediate use anywhere. Its compact design, ease of operation, and compatibility with accessories and third party decontamination agents make it the most advanced system of its kind currently available.

The WTC 500 RO 2 water treatment system is the perfect solution when accurate knowledge of whether fresh, salt, or chemically impure natural water is to be treated is absent. Using reverse osmosis, even invisible chemical impurities including dissolved salts are removed. Portability using the integrated carrying handles increases the system’s flexibility. Components in contact with drinking water comply with internationally recognised regulations, enabling the generation of drinking water which fulfils WHO (World Health Organisation) and other standards.

The new KFP 70 F-C frying module can be used in a container kitchen (e.g. KCC 500) or as an independent cooking unit in closed rooms or shelters. Its particularly even heat distribution across the frying surface is what makes the KFP 70 F-C especially suitable for the frying of large or small pieces of meat (e.g. steaks), although all other cooking processes such as boiling/simmering, blanching/poaching, braising, steaming, stewing, roasting, and deep frying are also possible. The use of top-quality stainless steel assures high corrosion resistance and maximum hygiene.

During live demonstrations in the outdoor area at IDEX the MFB PITA field bakery highlighted the fact it was developed specifically for making unleavened bread, e.g. Arabic pita bread. Packed compactly on an all-terrain trailer, the MFB PITA is capable of all steps necessary to produce 150 pieces of pita bread per hour and can be transported by land, sea, or air. Once on location, it can be assembled in a very short time, and is ready for immediate use, thanks to the generator and diesel engine.
