Increases JDF Bell Fleet to 10 Helicopters
Textron has sold six Bell 505 helicopters to the Jamaican Defence Force (JDF) for public safety and training missions.
Featuring the Garmin G1000 system, the aircraft will be configured for public safety missions within Jamaica and will be used by the Caribbean Military Aviation School (CMAS) to train international helicopter pilots.
In 1963, the JDF began operations with two Bell 47Gs and has expanded its Bell fleet over the intervening years. This new purchase will increase the current fleet to 10 Bell helicopters, serving search and rescue, medical evacuation, disaster relief, national security and military training operations.
