ITEC 2018: Antycip Simulation Showcases Demo Centre Capabilities

A full spectrum of demonstration, simulation, modelling, analysis & planning tools

Antycip Simulation, a leading expert in COTS solutions for the military simulation industry, is exhibiting at ITEC on stand #B51. In regular attendance at the show over the past 20 years, Antycip Simulation is focusing this year on showcasing the capabilities found in its Demo Centres located near its Milan (Italy) and Oxford (UK) offices – which offer customers access and insight to a full spectrum of demonstration, simulation, modelling, analysis and planning tools.

Regional Manager DACH & Italy at Antycip Simulation, Riccardo Rovelli, comments on the ITEC showcase: “As the most important military simulation event in Europe, ITEC is a key date in the calendar for us every year. Our heritage is in COTS solutions for the military simulation community, going right back to our first sale to the French defence industry in 1996. The show offers us the perfect opportunity to engage with our customers and prospects, discuss existing and future projects and demonstrate the expertise and approach that sets us apart in this sector.”

Partnering with projection manufacturer Barco for the show, the Antycip Simulation stand features a large 4x2m power wall to demonstrate a full range of solutions. It shows rolling videos of the capabilities of Antycip Simulation’s software partners as well as examples of projects with Barco. There is also a live demo area for VT MAK and CM labs software, and a Barco F70 projector on the stand, showcasing the features of this powerful machine with a range of content.

This collaboration is a further extension of the relationship between Antycip Simulation and Barco which resulted in the creation of the Demo Centres. Launching at the end of 2017, the state-of-the-art facilities in Saronno and Adderbury signified a major step forward for the integrator – putting its expertise under one roof and enabling it to better support its customers worldwide by adding product demonstration, modelling, analysis and laboratory facility capabilities.

Known as The Hub, the Adderbury facility is equipped with a single face VR CAVE station able to demonstrate collaborative work across multiple platforms and locations. It also features an impressive 5.5×2.5m power wall and a 180-degrees spherical display zone using a 4×2.2m curved screen, giving users a highly realistic display for simulation applications such as high end flight and individual ground forces simulators.

Meanwhile, the Saronno Demo Centre boasts a display station featuring a 180” flat screen powered by an ultra-short throw projector for classroom style training and review meetings, or as a one side Virtual Reality CAVE when used in stereoscopic mode. The Demo Centre is also equipped with a 2.5x2m curved screen displaying a 180-degree image and a 3.25m radius spherical screen for simulation purposes.

Our Demo Centres have already proven to be an invaluable asset and resource to existing and new customers in driving their cutting edge projects to success. We are looking forward to demonstrate how our Demo Centres can help ITEC visitors with their projects,” Mr. Rovelli concludes.
