ISDEF 2017: Never Miss Again

Targetize offers a solution to facilitate target practice

At ISDEF 2017, MONS took a shot at Targetize, a light weight, multi-array motion sensor mounted onto the rail of a pistol to help a shooter track, control and improve muzzle movement management. “Once placed on the gun, the motion sensor connects to the smartphone and provides the user with information regarding stability, grouping and accuracy,” says Benjamin Mayer, CEO of Targetize.

The technology is very simple. The user connects the motion sensor to the gun and downloads the application on the smartphone, then sensor then transmits the information for each shot to the application, which informs the user on their performance and gives them advice as to how to improve the next shots. “One can also choose to make target practice more interesting by using one of two challenges currently offered in the application: ‘two-in-one’, which decreases the size of the target as the shooter passes to the next level, or ‘quick shot’, which tests the shooter’s performance under time pressure,” continues Mr Mayer.

Currently the Isareli-based company has been selling mostly to citizens, especially in the US: “Customers can use Targetize at home or on a shooting range and learn to improve their aim,” concludes Mr Mayer.
