Integrated Surveillance Solution Embodies Multiple Technologies
Seraphim Optronics revealed its newly-developed FireFly integrated surveillance solution at ISDEF 2019 in Tel Aviv this week.
With the benefit of 20+ years’ experience in working with military and para-military forces, Seraphim specialises in sophisticated electro-optical solutions for persistent surveillance, digital signal processing and communications technologies. The company’s core technologies provide a comprehensive suite of capabilities for covert intelligence, defence and security applications. Its customer base deals with issues of critical infrastructure protection, perimeter security and border control in a variety of weather conditions and depends on reliable performance and a low false alarm rate to dramatically increase security confidence.
The company describes FireFly as “a first of its kind commercialised product,” embodying four separate technologies in a single system: radar, daylight camera, thermal camera and a connectivity solution that includes smart analytics. The system offers a variety of user benefits, including:
• Simple installation and maintenance;
• High detection confidence in day/night and all weather conditions;
• Reduces the manpower required to maintain security;
• Cost-effective solution by comparison with others currently available.
The firm is currently focused on further developing and enhancing its analytics capabilities – which will be required to maintain its competitive edge with future products for 2020 and beyond – and in expanding its spectrum to cover emerging hybrid threats.
