Exports to Over 20 Countries
Reshet Graf, exhibiting at ISDEF 2019 in Tel Aviv this week, has been in the military equipment identification and labelling business and supplying the Israeli army since 1977, according to the company’s Chief Technology Officer, Oron Ohayon. “More recently, the army needed a way to ID its own troops when using infra-red or night vision devices, which can only show the form of a soldier but not identify them as friend or foe. We started using different coatings, finishes and materials to allow these devices to identify their soldiers and reduce the likelihood of friendly fire,” he told MON at the show.
“Reshet Graf IR patches and labels are used in more than 20 countries, including the European Union, the USA, Singapore and soon in Japan. While we are very big in the USA, we are the biggest supplier in EU,” added Amichai Brodie, International Sales.
The company is always developing new products and engineering innovative solutions, according to Ohayon. “At SOFIC we launched a new product in the form of an IR sleeve that can fit over almost any target, allowing firearms training to be conducted while using night vision devices,” he confirmed to MON. “There are also a few new classified ‘invisible’ ID solutions that must remain classified since they are entirely invisible except when viewed through ‘friendly’ night vision or IR devices,” he added.
The company will shortly be launching new products that “go beyond just patches and labels,” he promised. Watch this space!
