Small, Light, Low Power Consumption SATCOM Terminals
At ISDEF 2019 in Tel Aviv this week MON had the opportunity to talk with Michal Sukenik, Presales Manager for GETSAT. The company offers “small, lightweight satellite communications terminals for the most extreme environments and the most challenging defence platforms – in applications where there are multiple parameters to consider, such as payload and visibility [limitations],” he told MON. “Our terminals offer forces in the field reliable satellite communications in remote areas where network connectivity is lacking. We enable continuous connection between deployed forces and headquarters,” he added.
GETSAT terminals are currently deployed around the world – in Europe, Asia and the USA – on multiple airborne, land and maritime platforms. “All our products are mil-grade designs – starting from connectors and ranging through production methods and maintenance protocols. The size and significant performance of the terminals are of great interest to the defence sector. Our products are also very easy to install and completely autonomous and so are very user-friendly, which makes deployment very easy,” Sukenik observed. As an example, the Micro SAT LM KA measures just 26x30cm, weighs 7.6kg and consumes just 200W in power.
