Threat Identification and Tracking Solution Attracts Global Attention
On 4 June at ISDEF 2019 Israeli company Capture Systems launched its Anti-threat Intelligent Detector (ATID) solution, to what the company describes as “lots of attention and interest” – not just from the domestic Israeli market but from international visitors too.
Developed primarily as an answer to the rising levels of concern over threats from unmanned aerial systems (UAS), ATID is also capable of identifying and tracking other threat sources, such as aircraft, maritime vessels or human beings. Aimed at providing operators with comprehensive security in fixed locations such as airports, prisons and critical infrastructure, ATID provides real-time optical threat detection and tracking capabilities, using both daylight and thermal imaging cameras.
Other subsystems currently integrated onto ATID include MEMS and GPS for the stabilisation mechanism and a jammer to disrupt and neutralise drones in its counter-UAS role. The system can also be integrated with a range of radars, point to point antennae and other functional components – including weapon systems if required.
