Demonstration of UK Best Practices
Inzpire Limited has delivered a one week course on cyber security and resilience to 15 delegates from eight nations on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). Delegates included senior military and civilian personnel from a wide range of ministries including defence, security, interior, and state intelligence.
Demonstrating UK best practices for improving cyber security and resilience, four experts delivered training on a wide range of cyber security topics including cyber strategy, risk governance and the importance of building security in order to protect cyber assets.
Delegates studied UK cyber doctrine and best practice examples from the UK National Security Cyber Centre, with information delivered through a mix of theory and practical training. The course culminated in students participating in a full day practical training exercise to ensure that, on completion, they would be able to effectively apply their learning to real-world scenarios.
The Inzpire delivery team from the company’s Cyber, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism Division brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to cyber training delivery, with team members having previously been heavily involved in the development and implementation of the RAF’s Cyber Strategy; cyber risk management for military systems; and training, education and exercise of cyber to military personnel.
On completion of the training, Inzpire’s Principal Trainer and Cyber Lead,.Graham Basnett commented: “Highly sophisticated cyber-attacks by nation states and criminal organisations over the past decade have demonstrated that advanced and persistent threats will often get through. That is why Inzpire’s training doesn’t just focus on strategic level structures for improving cyber security within an organisation, but also on the operational level planning and training required to fight through a successful major attack on or through cyberspace,”
