Turnkey Solutions Based on Koios and Fregata Tactical S2 UAS
Inzpire Limited and Callen-Lenz announced on 15 July the establishment of a team to deliver operational turn-key UAS services to armed forces, governments, emergency services and national infrastructure customers.
The two rapidly growing companies will provide bespoke capabilities, enabling customers to establish and conduct UAS operations in austere conditions, using systems such as the Callen-Lenz VTOL Koios and Fregata Tactical S2 UAS, currently in use with a range of operators worldwide. Callen-Lenz provides in-house air system design, manufacturing and integration services for UK and global customers. The company’s experts deliver operationally-proven UAS and avionics, including flight control and mission management systems, as well as aviation services and consultancy.
As part of the collaboration, Callen-Lenz will provide the fully capable ‘turnkey’ ISR platforms and will pass on expertise developed over 15 years’ experience in UAS operations. The company will prepare Inzpire’s experts to operate the platforms and their concepts of use, enabling Inzpire to develop a structured training programme to train military personnel and leverage the team‘s joint capabilities for the global defence market.
Experts from Inzpire’s ISR and Mission Training Devices divisions will combine their experience, to ensure that customers benefit from years of ex-military ISR and training experience in both live and synthetic domains. The company’s UAS operators have extensive experience in multi-domain line of sight/beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations. The company’s ISR personnel were at the forefront of uncrewed aviation in their military careers, with extensive experience working in austere overseas locations. As part of this powerful team, they will deliver a range of UAS/ISR functions and services which will support the safe and efficient operation of customer flights.
Inzpire will also provide operational UAS/ISR crews and intelligence analysts, who bring with them mission management and team leadership skills. This means the team can either conduct Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) on behalf of the customer, or can supply the necessary equipment, platforms and personnel expertise to enable customers to conduct their own.
Customers will also benefit from Inzpire’s recent international training expertise; so far in 2022 the company has supported NATO Exercise FURIOUS WOLF in Estonia, and its ISR experts have delivered UAS and ISR Operational Concepts training to ten senior military procurement managers from Belgian defence, as well as providing UAS and ISR training to Latvian military personnel in support of that nation’s procurement of a new ISR platform.
Together, the companies have developed a powerful and agile team that will proactively and quickly respond to dynamic market trends. Their complimentary skillsets and mindset will enable the combined team to consistently deliver world-leading solutions.
