Partnership with Thales Developing ‘According to Plan’
The Belgian Army has placed a follow-on order valued at SEK 25 million (€2.3 million) with Danish specialist Invisio, the company announced on 11 November.
Last month, Invisio won the Belgian Army’s requirement for communication and hearing protection solutions. The programme, for which Thales is the main contractor, aims to protect soldiers’ hearing while improving their communication capacity in critical environments. This order is the expected follow-on contract to the original: deliveries are scheduled to begin before year end and be completed in the first half of 2020.
“Winning the Belgian army’s contract in October is significant for Invisio, in that it is one of several indications that the defence and security industry is starting to increase its focus on the need for communication and hearing protection in critical environments. This expected follow-up order means that the partnership is developing according to plan,“ commented Lars Højgård Hansen, CEO of Invisio Communications.
