GX100PM satellite communications terminal
On 8 November, Intellian Technologies announced the launch of the GX100PM satellite communications (SATCOM) terminal, designed specifically for the defence and intelligence markets.
The terminal is type approved for use on the Inmarsat GLOBAL XPRESS network, specifically its ‘SATCOM as a Service’ capability, allowing maritime users global access to reliable and seamless commercial wideband connectivity.
The company’s v100PM, a 1m Ku-band military grade antenna, is already installed on naval vessels worldwide. Existing users will be able to upgrade their installations – using a kit that allows for installation onboard in as little as ten minutes – to take advantage of the GX100PM’s strong Ka-band performance, leveraging GLOBAL EXPRESS, “for core functions while seamlessly and cost-effectively integrating with MILSATCOM for greater resilience,” according to Peter Hardinger, Inmarsat’s President, US Government Business.
