Underwater Maritime Awareness Solution also on Display
DSIT Solutions will present its complete ASW suite for surface vessels at IMDEX in Singapore next week, which will include, for the first time at the show, an end-to-end torpedo defence system, provided jointly with Rafael Advanced Defence Systems.
DSIT’s comprehensive surface vessel ASW suite combines its hull-mounted sonar with its active/passive towed array system, delivering underwater target search, detection, tracking and classification. Incorporating machine learning techniques for automation algorithms, the suite reduces operator workload and can be installed on a variety of vessels. It also includes a powerful next-generation torpedo defence solution, combining DSIT’s sonar systems with Rafael’s Anti-Torpedo Defense System (ATDS), consisting of the Torbuster SP hard-kill solution and, optionally, the Scutter Mk3 soft-kill decoy. The combined system can be installed on a range of surface vessels, serving as part of a complete protection suite.
Also on show will be an underwater domain awareness solution, which includes the company’s Shield family of sonar systems: SeaShield-a state-of-the-art ASW system offering long-range, real-time coastal surveillance capabilities and delivering comprehensive situational awareness in the underwater domain; and AquaShield and PointShield sonar systems. System capabilities include automatic underwater threat detection, tracking, and classification, distinguishing between submarines and other underwater threats and objects, as well as an automatic sounded instantly on detection of an underwater intruder.
