“A Milestone in our Capability Growth”
Further cementing its position as a leading regional armoured vehicle manufacturer, NIMR Automotive commissioned the MENA region’s first and (to date) only electromagnetic compliance (EMC) chamber in January, the company announced at IDEX on 18 February.
The state-of-the-art chamber is capable of accommodating wheeled military vehicles up to the size of an 8×8 platform and is calibrated for testing to MIL-STD 461. This adds to NIMR’s already extensive capabilities, includes a dedicated vehicle test-track designed to dynamically test and evaluate mobility characteristics.
The chamber can perform radiated emissions tests on wheeled vehicles with the following specifications:
- Maximum Vehicle weigh: 30t
- Maximum Weight per wheel: 7t

“The completion of the EMC chamber at NIMR is a milestone in our capability growth, ensuring that our vehicle platforms meet the highest military standards. Today, NIMR has taken the lead in Electro-Magnetic Compliance across the MENA region, with further investment underway in blast and ballistic facilities for in-house qualification to NATO STANAG 4569,” commented NIMR’s General Manager, Ali Al Mansoori.
