MUROS Architecture Integrated into Vehicle Bus
At IDEX ELT GmbH – the homeland security centre of competence within the Elettronica group – revealed that it has provided the electronic surveillance and monitoring capabilities for the new-generation Mercedes-Benz SPRINTER.
Multiple sensors, such as high-definition and infra-red cameras, voice interception devices, direction finders, RF detection devices, encryption servers and facial recognition programmes have been integrated into the vehicle’s bus system. The ELT homeland security solution architecture, designated MUROS, provides a flexible suite of components that provide operators with solid capability across a wide spectrum of mission applications, including:
• Video surveillance and documentation;
• Urban and border surveillance;
• Communication monitoring and decoding;
• Communications intercept;
• Drone and small UAV detection.
